A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successfulwoman is one who can find such a man.I love shopping too! But when I shop, my mum was always like, "Try to shop something more useful!" because I don't get myself clothes or shoes or bags like she expected. I spend my money on CDs, magazines, books, food... anything, really.
You may say I'm a big spender or whatsoever, but I don't like Sale stuff. IT'S A LOT OF WORK TO FIND A GOLD IN TONS OF...garbage. yeah, I'm sorry, but I'm not the kind of person who, "Oh, there's a sale in xx store, come on come on!" DOH I'm not Becky Bloomwood! When I go to a midnight shopping/sale at Debenhams it was just for fun!
And I might don't need to tell you this, but not only because sale is a lot of work, and uncomfortable, they're also full of clothes the stores or designers can't sell but have no wish to burn.
BUT THERE'S A PROBLEM.
Nothing is more hurt than seeing an item (or possibly more) you bought for full price when it was still New Arrival become a half-price item just because it's the end of season and....it didn't sell really good.
More bad news is, there's probably not a single store in Indonesia that really do SALE. In Hong Kong H&M, salenya parah banget. you can get a pair of black pump wedges for only IDR 100,000 and it's not really the ITC quality! And the crowd was hectic! Women were like predators, they prey clothing items like it's a feeding frenzy. That's the kind of sale you see on Confession of a Shopaholic, once you like something, take it or be sorry for 40 days and 40 night (HAHAHA)
What do I always wish to exist here aside from H&M and HMV and Borders? Yes, consignment shop. Atau udah ada but I'm just too much of a moron for not knowing about it? I don't buy clothes much, actually, I don't buy trends, but when it comes to shopping itu kan namanya kodrat alam hahahahahaha :D
And one more important thing. I might don't like sale (apalagi yg cuma 10% gitu, what's the point???) but I love cheap things. I love free stuffs too! This is recession era, everyone. Remember when you were a kid and your father gave you some small money? "Spend it wisely," he says. He might don't say it anymore now that we've grown up, but it doesn't mean he don't wish you would.
Spend your money wisely! Don't buy branded stuff that costs you some fortune just to keep it in your wardrobe....forever. I don't understand those kind of people who do. What's the point of buying luxury if you don't wear and show 'em?? Since I don't buy branded stuff I'm free from this category. Hahahahahahha :)))
For reference, read Teen Vogue's tips of shopping during recession. It helps!
